Welcome to Raymond’s online art gallery

Here is a plethora of paintings created by Raymond over time. Some works have been sold or on display, so all may not be available. Check out what’s on the “Store” page or message Raymond on a particular piece through email if you’re interested in a painting. The following part describes some works in detail of experience. The dates will give you an idea of the evolution of his skill, styles and techniques over time.

April 24th, 2019 - Heart of the Wild.

This piece was produced during a high output period of works through Raymond; with inspiration from the spring season clouds and floral aroma flowing in the air. The natural earthy tones, curvy strokes and structural lines protruding from them were incorporated from this piece to many future works which developed into Raymond’s unique “alive” style. “Heart of the Wild” is one of his first large square shaped canvas’ (36”x36’’) paintings produced. Paintings this size and larger slowly became somewhat of a standard of preference for Raymond’s creations. The title Heart of the Wild came from experiences through dance, biking and observations of nature. Embracing the wild sides of self and loving each part fully even amongst inner chaos. Painting along with other arts and practices are reminders of self love used as forms of therapy.

August 18th, 2020 - Unity Tree.

“Unity Tree” was the theme for the collaborative showing at the Nevada Museum of Art between Raymond and two brilliant Reno local artists from August - September 2020. The intention was to present a source of healing and resilience for recovering/recovered addicts during Drug Awareness month. This piece resembles growth through difficult times while learning how to alchemize beauty through chaos. The idea is to share our experiences that connect us all as human beings that relate one another working our way above of our inner torments. We are not alone in our struggles.
